Resumen Unidad 3 de Sociales.

Coastal landscapes have different natural features. This is a bay.




This is a headland.




This is an archipelago. An archipelago is a group of islands.




These are cliffs.




This is a beach.




Inland landscapes have different natural features. This is a plain.



This is a plateau.



This is a mountain range. A mountain range is a group of mountains.




This is a lake.



This is a valley. At the bottom, there is a river flowing through it.



Rivers have an upper, middle and lower course. The source is where the river begins. Smaller rivers, or tributaries, join the main river. The river bed is the floor of the river. The mouth is where the river joins the sea.


Landscapes also have man-made features, such as roads, bridges and houses.




All living things need water. Most water on Earth is salt water in the oceans.




Fresh water is found in rivers and lakes, the ice caps or under the ground.




Fresh water needs to be treated before it can become drinking water.




The Earth is made up of rocks and minerals. We can find different rocks and minerals all over Spain. For example, we find gold in Asturias.
